The book says that nearly dying gives you a new lease on life. Benedict Cumberbatch talks about getting a new lease on life after his kidnapping. I tend to be with Tim Kennedy though, where he talks in his book, ‘Scars and Stripes,’ about (and Jocko brings it up in Jocko Podcast episode***) how he should have learned and changed because of some life-altering situation, but he just carried on business as usual…
