There are a lot of ongoing projects and plans and a few new ones.
For Work/Ministry, I’m trying to take our 12 Foundation Stones Course online. I have run into snags but it’s not like everyone is good at something without much trial and error. I’m running this on the free plan on teachable.com, because to run it for the year costs $~500, which might not sound like much to some, but volunteer work doesn’t leave much leftover in the budget.
For Fitness, I’m taking part in Tom Venuto’s New Year fitness challenge. My goal is to get my body fat percentage down to where I can see the outline of my abs. It’s not for vanity, for those who wonder. My blood pressure goes up in proportion to my body fat, and one of my new friends is a cardiologist who is concerned about my blood pressure. I told him I’ll get my body fat down and my numbers will be better, so he said he’ll wait and see if these things be so.
For my kids, I’m still homeschooling them. They’re making good progress, but I also made a resolution that I wouldn’t put a lot of stuff about them online, for their own sakes…
For personal projects, I’m cutting up and posting the Jocko Podcast into, what I lovingly refer to as, JcNuggets on YouTube, with links on Twitter, just to get the word out organically. I have also started horse riding for 45 minutes once a week, just a beginner so just walking and kinda trotting. I have a lot to learn still.
Will keep you updated. What are your plans for the first quarter of 2023?
