I was asked by three different people if I had participated in either of these programs, and the answer’s yes!
DEF Reset is a program run by Jocko Willink and the team at JockoFuel.
75Hard is run by Andy Frisella at 1st Phorm.
TL;DR – Though they are similar and the end result might be the same, there’s a slight mindset difference between the two. 75 Hard is an intense mental toughness program with strict rules requiring a full restart if any rule is missed. DEF Reset provides structure for building discipline with a general return to healthy habits. My favorite part of DEF Reset is Prioritize and Execute, where you have to complete your top three goals for the day. It makes the program feel less ‘selfish’. 😉
If you’re used to giving up when the going gets tough, 75Hard is for you. If you need structure to move forward in all areas of life, I recommend DEF Reset.
Breakdown of Each Program
I just want to specify that I’m not an affiliate of any of these programs and I’m just writing this so that I don’t have to explain to each person that asks me about them. 🙂
Rules for DEF Reset

You sign up for it (because, of course, you do), and you get access to the DEF Reset HQ where all the extras are available (pdf trackers, daily workouts from Jocko, additional challenges, etc).
There is an accompanying app in both iOS and Android, and you can join the community there as much or as little as you want.
There are a lot of prizes, but you have to post on Instagram and/or TikTok, using the hashtag #DEFReset. X and Facebook are not included this time around. I signed up to X (when it was called Twitter) for Jocko Willink’s posts; I refuse to sign on with another social media platforms unless absolutely necessary. #TheAlgorithmWillGetYou
I’m not participating for the prizes, in any case.
Rules for 75Hard

You could sign up for this too and there is an app. But because of its popularity, there are all kinds of trackers that you can download for free. Lots of people have tried and some have failed, but that’s just life, isn’t it?
In Conclusion
The most important thing to remember for both of these programs is that they’re made for progress, but just physical fitness.
This is my review from DEF Reset 2024: https://peoplegettingafterit.com/final-thoughts-and-takeaways-from-def-reset-2024/
It helps you to make progress even when/if you don’t feel like it. In any case, I hope this will help someone. Have a great new year!
