Book says, ‘You just have to be as generous as you can, but selfish enough to get your work done.’ I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t have ‘success’ as the general population sees it: followers, financial gain, likes, shares, emails, etc. I just plug along and do it. If it helps someone, great! I work on the JcNuggets for an hour a day and then I call it quits. I read 10 pages at least and take notes early in the morning, typing it out here later in the day if the kids wake up in the meantime.
Book says, ‘You have to have the courage to get rid of work, and rethink things completely.’ I’m ready to drop whatever it is I’m doing, if it doesn’t fit in with the day-to-day. I’d like to think I’m flexible enough for that. Earlier this year, June to be exact, I had to fly halfway around the world to take care of some legal paperwork for my baby who was born just after the lockdowns in 2020. I don’t think I even thought once about JcNuggets or this website. I was tempted to write an apology, and maybe I should have shown respect to the people who actually follow, but in the end, I thought, ‘They’re as busy, if not busier than I, they may appreciate the break.’
Apparently, this is the end of the book. I may or may not continue this series. I may or may not write a summary or roundup of things I learned, either from the book or about myself during. But a short book in 11 days, can cover quite a bit, if I find any more like it. 😉
